The fake accounts had links to people associated with the IRA, but Facebook said it isn't clear if this troll farm is still active today.

These accounts posed as journalists and locals in countries they targeted. Some of the pages and groups they managed claimed to be hacktivist groups. This network posted about current events, including the Syrian civil war, and politics in several countries such as Ukraine, Russia and the US. They tried to get Facebook users to visit other websites, links which the social network said it has blocked.

MOSCOW/CHISINAU, Nov 30 (Reuters) - The Kremlin on Monday rebuffed calls by Moldova's incoming president, Maia Sandu, for Russian troops to withdraw from the breakaway region of Transdniestria, saying it would be seriously destabilising.
"The parameters of the 2021 budget coincide with the assessments of the Fund's specialists, which was important for the continuation of successful cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF," the ministry said in a statement.
Sandu struck a conciliatory tone after her victory but on Monday called for Russian troops in Transdniestria to be removed in favour of civilian monitors under the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
Ukraine secured a $5 billion loan deal with the IMF in June to fight a sharp economic slowdown. But the IMF has postponed its mission to Kyiv while waiting for clear signals that the authorities will continue reforms.
